If you’re anything like me, you’re a bit sick of cooking so much for so many!

That was just the appetizers!
To tell you the truth, I’m not sure when the next one will be, but that doesn’t stop us from meeting virtually!
In these unpredictable times, we’re not sure what is coming next. It’s an uneasy time. There is a lot of fear and fear-mongering, but in the end how we choose to feel is up to us, not the newscast or social media.
You see, our feelings come from how we think about events that happen, and when we are seeing negative news and fear non-stop our brain wants to protect us, so it goes to past memories or situations where we felt the same feelings.
What you might not know is when we have feelings, they show up in our bodies. Might be in your gut, or a tight chest, tense shoulders, and so on.
When we have a feeling, perhaps of fear, showing up in a place in our body, our mind remembers that. So, when we have that feeling in our body’s same place, it triggers old memories. Those memories are lurking in our subconscious pretending to protect us, when in fact they are adding fuel to the fire.
Our mind is so interesting, and fortunately for us able to be changed in it’s thinking.
Events, like a pandemic, don’t rule how we think or make us feel a certain way. Ultimately, we choose how we think, which causes our feelings. We can change our thoughts, and when we do that, we take back our future and leave some old beliefs where they belong, in the past.
