So it’s becoming that time of the year.
Like end of the winter, beginning of the spring…..which means?
Swimsuit time is just around the corner, like yeah, after Valentines?
After Thanksgiving? After Christmas?
And the so planned beginning of the year diets and resolutions?
And you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see. You start beating up on yourself, admonishing yourself for the box of chocolates, the deserts at Christmas and New Year, and the pledge to change it all. Start exercise, lose weight, get that new spunky dress you have been dreaming of, and now? Now it ain’t happening. That dress will have to wait. That date will have to wait. That swimsuit and the beach will have to wait. That little black dress will have to, yeah you guessed it………………WAIT!
TELL ME WHY?
CAUSE YOUR BRAIN IS LEADING YOU ASTRAY!
A lot of people who don’t know me well often try to tell me I don’t understand the whole “wait on the weight” story. Well I am human. While I try very hard and am conscious of staying at my ideal “weight”, there have been times that has been hard. If I had been beating myself up, accepting the few extra pounds that have happened at different times, those few would have turned into many, and then been convinced to turn into a whole lot more than my small five foot one and a half inch body could carry.
In the times of post pregnancy, pre and post menopausal, the shoulder and knee surgeries that have stopped my exercise program and added a few or more pounds where I didn’t want them, I understood. My body was adapting to a change in it. And, I was not waiting on my body weight to return to it’s normal before I was going to love myself and look good.
SO I HEAR YOU SAYING…
I DON’T HAVE A FEW POUNDS
I HAVE A LOT OF WEIGHT
IT HAPPENED! RIGHT!
WHAT DOES A LITTLE PERSON KNOW ABOUT THIS!
A LOT…………….YUP………………A LOT
Can I tell you I come from a family who are not on the average small. Those that are in target weight, work, work hard. Some, accept the weight gain, live as healthy as they can with diet and exercise, and can I say? They dress themselves amazingly. Loving the body they are in, and accepting that is what and where they are at right now.
I have four grown children. All are coming to the thirties and forties where the weight seems to creep on in all the places you don’t want. Some of them have to work a lot harder than the others. Some respond, some don’t. But, in all of this BE HAPPY!!!!!! Cause if not you might just be attracting some of that weight to you!!!!!!!!!!
This is just the first part of a blog series on this topic. But, today, I am asking you to look, love and dress the body you have today. I don’t care if you think your have a bulge around the middle, the back the bum, or all over. Get RAW about this. Have a good look, accept your size and go buy some clothes that make you feel as sexy, attractive and gorgeous right now.
If you have a lot of weight to lose you feel just the same as someone who only has a little. You know why? You just don’t love yourself where you are. You have not become RAW. When you do, I’ll tell you how to ROAR!
So keep tuning in, watch for more information. A little teaser. I have been in a gym since 1979. I don’t think it was the “in” thing then, but I sure know a lot about the female body, how it works and how it responds to diet and exercise.
If you believe that, then start ruling your head and thoughts about your miraculous, amazing, attractive body right where it is right now.
